ICHAM welcomes historic meeting between King and Muivah

While welcoming the recent meeting of titular King of Manipur Leishemba Sanajaoba and NSCN-IM leader Th Muivah at Camp Hebron, Information Center for Hill Areas, Manipur (ICHAM) has observed that no one would come to resolve our problems but we (Meetei and Nagas) should solve it through people to people dialogue.
The meeting of the two prominent personalities will not only promote brotherhood, sense of belongingness, solidarity and close understanding between Meetei and the Naga brothers but also across the whole North Eastern states of India and beyond, Ngachonmi Ramshang, General Secretary of ICHAM observed in a statement.
Ngachonmi further said that the problems between Meeteis and Nagas will never be solved by Indian Government but by ourselves.
Such people to people dialogue cutting across political and communal line will go a long way in bringing about lasting solution to the myriad problems besetting the North Eastern states of India including the Indo-Naga peace talk.
The talk had already set the trend for future prosperity to reckon with to embark on the journey of mutual trust and co-operation in order to let peace, liberty, justice, development and solidarity to prevail, Ngachonmi added.
