Imphal, August 17 2013 :
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Manipur Pradesh has claimed that the reason for being held back of the Rs 203 Cr road development project in hill districts of the state under the 8th phase of Prime Minister Gramin Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) is due to the mess created by the Chief Minister and the concerned Engineer at the time of issuing work orders to the lowest tender bidder.
When investigated into the matter, illegal issuance of work order to contractors by the Chief Minister and the Engineer has been found to be the main problem of the present obstacle to the commence of the work even after e-tender of contract work had been closed in November 2012, Y Nilamani Singh, Spokesperson of BJP, Manipur Pradesh, claimed in a statement.
Drawing the attention of higher level authority in this regard, state BJP has appealed to its national leaders to send a team of their MPs in the state to investigate into the anomalies.
