Kohima, April 15 2013:
Parliamentary Secretary for Women Development, Cooperation and Sericulture, Pukhayi Sumi stressed the importance of establishing one "Women and Girls Health Care Center" in Nagaland.
Disclosing this to NEPS here on Sunday, the Parliamentary Secretary said there was a need to have a "Women and Girls Health Care Center" in the state as their rural and urban population had been swelling over the years and there was no such health care center which specifically focused on the women and girls in the state.
And
this particular health care center would give emphasis on "Women and Girls" only.

"We are planning mainly to focus on women and girl health," he added.
"We shall try to have the entire necessary requirement as much as possible for giving maximum health care services to women and girls in the state through this center" .
Stating that he had already asked officials of his department to prepare DPR to take it to Delhi, Pukhayi said there were over Rs 2000 crore at the national level for the Women and Girls Health Care sectors.
He hoped that once it was established, it would greatly benefit their women and girls who often did not get required health care facilities.
