Over Rs 100 Cr sops in line from DoNER

The Development of NE Region (DoNER) Ministry is planning to sanction over Rs 100 crore for developmental projects in the State this financial year.
This was stated by Secretary of DoNER, UK Sangma while visiting Shija Hospitals today.
Sangma is here to attend President Pranab Mukherjee's programme.
UK Sangma further said that the State could utilise only Rs 40 crore against the sanctioned amount of Rs 80 crore for developmental projects during the last financial year.
Sangma, accompanied by Chief Secretary, DS Poonia; State Planning Director, Dr Th Munindro and Joint Director of Planning, N Kulkarni visited Shija Blood Bank and Trasfusion Services.

Shija Blood Bank and transfusion Services, a paradigm of Private Public Partnership in North East India and funded by the NEC, was inaugurated by Paban Singh Ghatowar, Minister (i/c), DoNER and Chairman NEC on September 16 last year.
With the objectives to meet shortage of blood in the State and neighbouring States by ensuring safety and quality of blood through state-of-the-art technologies, the blood bank has already started offering facilities for concentrated red blood corpuscle, platelet, fresh frozen plasma, apheresis platelet, leukodepleted RBC, etc, said CMD of Shija Dr Kh Palin, who is also consultant plastic surgeon of the hospital.
