THE LAININGTHOU Sanamahi Faith and Believers Forum, Kangleipak (Manipur) has lauded the statement of the Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh which appeared in local media who has acknowledged that 'Kangla as a "sacred place" of the indigenous people of the land'.
The Forum, in a press release, said that 'the CM's statement came like a panacea to every genuine indigenous Meitei people'.
The Forum also conveys its resolution in an emergency meeting held on February 3, 2009, convened by Ch Manoranjan Khuman at its make-shift office located at Leimakhullen Leikai Langol that it will sincerely pursue the development of Kangla as a sacred place Sikh, Zoroastrian, and Buddhism) before the forthcoming Lok Sabha election, the release conveyed.
The forum also conveyed its resolution to appeal the general people of the land to maintain communal harmony among the various communities irrespective of religions, faith, caste and creed and to propagate the sense of oneness.
It said, not to discriminate people of other religion and faith but to maintain mutual respect and understanding among one another.
The Forum said, although there are different distinctive cultures, faiths, and historical backgrounds are in existence among the different communities of the land, the need for unification of our minds is the need of the hour towards building a peaceful, united, strong and prosperous land.
The forum also decided to offer mass prayer for the well being of the CM so as to enable him to serve the people of the land well.
