Two NITs flagged off

Brigadier M K Das, SM**, VSM, Commander 9 Sector Assam Rifles flagged off a 15-day long National Integration Tour (NIT) organised by 2 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) for farmers to Delhi and Hissar.
The team comprised 20 farmers hailing from different areas of Thoubal District.
The aim of conducting the tour is to expose the farmers to the latest techniques and advances in farming sector.
The team will visit important historical places in Delhi and a course on "Advance Technology in Agriculture" is also being organised at "Chaudhary Charan Singh Agriculture University, Hissar" .
On the other hand, another National Integration Tour to Delhi for school children of Samtal Salient of Chandel district was organised by 3 (NH) Batallion Assam Rifles of 28 Sector under the aegis of HQ IGAR (S) as part of Assam Rifles Military Civic Action programme.
The tour team which includes 16 students and 2 teachers from Chandel district was flagged off by Brigadier Gajendra Joshi, SM, Commander 28 Sector Assam Rifles today.
