AMWJU extends financial aid to scribes

Imphal, August 14 2014 :
All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) has extended a sum of Rs 10, 000 to two journalists namely Khaidem Geetchandra, staff reporter of Naharolgi Thoudang and Nganthoi Lourembam, staff reporter of Imphal Times who are going to undergo army defense correspondent course under Union Ministry of Defense from August 17 to September 19 at Kochi, Kerala.
The amount was handed over to the journalists by Wangkhemcha Shyamjai, president of AMWJU.
Meanwhile, Wangkhemcha Shyamjai has appealed to all concerned members of AMWJU to use the press logo in their vehicles in accordance to guidelines.
Speaking to media persons, Shyamjai stated that there have been instances where the press logo was found inscribed in school vans including vehicles own by people working in printing press and appealed to all concerned to inform AMWJU, police and DIG if they come across such situations.
