'Action against doctors if found involved'

Imphal, September 13 2011:
RIMS Director, Professor S Shekharjit today told reporters that appropriate action will be taken up against doctors of RIMS if they were found involved in the death of a woman in the Chamber of Commerce Hospital as she was being readied for operation on September 9 .
RIMS has issued guidelines to its doctors not to engage in private practices and special allowances are also provided to them for the matter.
There are reports of two doctors of RIMS being involved in the incident.
The RIMS authority is investigating the report and will punish the doctors if they are found involved in the incident, he said.
Meanwhile, he also condemned the bomb threat at his residence on Monday by unknown miscreants.
