Driver assaulted by suspected security personnel

A driver has been assaulted in the most brutal manner by some unidentified persons suspected to be members of a combined security team.
Lairenlakpam Bhumeshwar (35) Lamlai Mayai Leikai but staying at Yourabung Maning Leikai was taken away from his home by some unidentified persons suspected to be security personnel last night.
After blindfolding Bhumeshwar, the security personnel took him away in a Gypsy.
Then Bhumeshwar was made to lie on the Gypsy's bonnet with his hands and legs stretched out.
Asking if Bhumeshwar was not a trained cadre of the KYKL, the suspected security men thrashed him in the most brutal manner, inflicting severe injuries.
Bhumeshwar is currently undergoing treatment at JNIMS.
Incidentally, Bhumeshwar is personal driver of Lamlai Block Congress Committee president Ningthoujam Irabot.
The same suspected security team brought Bhumeshwar to his home at about 4 am today.
In addition to bruises on his buttock, back, thigh and other parts of the body, blood is also coming out while urinating, Bhumeshwar said.

I never had any connection with any UG group", he added.
