Blast rocks ADC complex

Imphal, September 13 2011:
For the third time in the past few months, a powerful bomb exploded near ADC complex at Sangakpham this morning.
A powerful bomb exploded just beyond the North Eastern wall of ADC Bhavan at Sangakpham under Heingnang police station in Imphal East district at about 5.45 am today.
Though it made a hole of around two feet in diameter on the brick wall, no one was injured in the explosion.
ADC Members and their families have been staying in the ADC Bhavan.
Soon after the explosion, top officers of Imphal East District Police came to the blast site and scanned the surrounding area.
Notably, five people including two school going girls were killed in a powerful blast at Sangakpham Keithel, a little distance away from today's blast site on August 1 .
The victims included one NSCN-IM cadre who came to plant the explosive.
One IED fitted scooter was recovered from a hotel at Sangakpham on July 28 .
Earlier, on May 28 the ADC office at Khuman Lampak was rocked by a powerful blast causing severe injuries to three people including two small girls.
The bomb was fitted in a car.
So far, no outfit has claimed responsibility for today's bomb attack.
