No rule of law, says Khaidem Mani

Exploding bombs at the 'temporary market', a crowded place, and causing death and injuries to civilians is an act of cowards observed Khaidem Mani, President All Manipur Bar Association (AMBA) and said that there is complete breakdown of rule of law in Manipur.
In an interaction with media at his chamber, Mani remarked time has come to asked whether there is rule of law in Manipur.
Though, government frequently claims to capture members of armed opposition groups but there has not been an instance of them being found guilty by the court and served sentence in the jail informed AMBA President.

Maintaining law and order is the duty of the government and not that of citizen's reiterated Mani and observed that there is complete failure in intelligence gathering in the state.
Plea by citizenry not to explode bombs does not guarantee that there will be no explosion rather it is the government that has to ensure that explosives do not explode in public places observed Khaidem Mani.
Meanwhile, Lions Club (LC) Imphal has extended financial assistance worth one lakhs to the victims, both injured and deceased, of the bomb blast.
