La Ganesan sworn in as Governor

Imphal, August 27 2021:
Former Rajya Sabha member La Ganesan was sworn in as the Governor of Manipur at a ceremony held today at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan, Imphal.
Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur PV Sanjay Kumar administered the oath of office and secrecy to La Ganesan.
The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Council of Ministers, Chief Secretary, Director General of Police and other senior officials of the State Government.
After the swearing-in-ceremony the Governor also inspected the guard of honour.
The newly appointed Governor also visited the Indian National Army (INA) memorial at Moirang in Bishnupur district today and paid floral tributes to the statue of Netaji Subhaschandra Bose.
The Governor also paid homage to the INA soldiers.
Significantly, INA memorial complex is the first place in the State that La Ganesan visited Soon after taking oath as the new Governor.
He also visited the INA museum located within the complex.
The Governor was accompanied by family members, dignitaries including Raj Bhawan officials, Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, ADM of Bishnupur district and other officials.
After returning to Imphal, the Governor paid a visit to Shree Shree Govindajee Temple.
