With the Modi-led NDA Government completing its 7 years on May 30 and to mark two years of Dr RK Ranjan's tenure as an MP of Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, Bharatiya Janata Party Manipur State Unit is set to recall the initiatives and developments taken up by the NDA Government during the last 7 years.
In a video message, MP Dr RK Ranjan said that Jammu and Kashmir which had been a stronghold of anti-National elements and was bereft of many Constitutional rights and developments even after decades of India's independence, has seen a path of development and normalcy after the NDA-led Central Government scrapped Article 370 .
With abrogation of the said article, the NDA Government had not only realized the thinking of late political stalwart, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee who was critical of the idea of two Constitution and two flags in one Nation but also successfully extended governance to the people of the region, he said.
The Modi-led Government has offered Muslim women recourse and access to protection of the law from the practice of arbitrary instant divorce by enacting Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019, he said.
When there was apprehension among all about the impact of CAB (Citizenship Amendment Bill), the Central Government had extended ILP to the State of Manipur protecting the State from the purview of the proposed Bill now called Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019, the MP added.
Under 'Seva Hi Sangathan', 'Mera Booth Corona Mukt' campaigns of the party, State Unit workers are targeting to reach out and raise Covid awareness at 1100 villages besides facilitating Covid testing to the villagers, encouraging the infected patients and extending medical oxygen, he said.
He also added that BJP workers will work at booth level to ensure relief measures as announced by the Central Government reach the public.
BJP Youth Morcha, ST and SC and Mahila Morcha are also set to start voluntary blood donations campaigns from till May 30, he said while adding that the Chief Minister is also considering a policy on how to aid Orphan Homes during the pandemic time.
He himself, as a part of the observation, is aiming to reach out to 50 villages within his Constituency with face masks and hand sanitizers apart from raising awareness on Covid-19 and SOPs to curb the spread of the virus.
He also assured to inspect Covid Care Centres and CHICs and assist all possible forms of assistance from his end.
