AR launches 3rd phase of vaccination drive

Eightteen years old Sharon R Panmei of Guigailong in Tamenglong district became the youngest beneficiary of the third phase of Covid-19 vaccination drive launched by the 44 Assam Rifles of 22 Sect AR/IGAR (E) in collaboration with the district administration on Wednesday.
Informing that the vaccination drive will be held every Wednesday while registration for the same will be opened on every Saturday, an AR release said that frequency of vaccination days shall be taken based upon the response to registration by the public.
Launch of the "Third Phase of Vaccination Drive" themed "JANSEVA ABHIYAN" tb'assist the local civil administration curb the spread of deadly virus and take a step towards wellbeing of human life was marked by felicitation of COVID warrior staff nurses who are also engaged in the immunization drive.
"These silent warriors have been serving humanity with compassion, optimism, kindness, selfless dedication to duty and unparalleled devotion.
It is a moment to recognise their hard work to serve and inspire humanity," the release said, adding that Tamenglong battalion, commandant commended their dedicated service to humanity.
The self-registration for third phase of vaccination opened on May 22 and within 20 minutes it was fully subscribed.
On first day of Immunization Campaign, the medical staff of the battalion administrated vaccination to 100 people.
The battalion also organised COVID awareness campaign in the town during which various posters, banners, cut outs and information boards were displayed for the general public.
