Imphal, October 14 2008:
Unhappy over the negligence of the RJD as a rightful partner of the SPF Government, president of the RJD State Unit W Nipamacha and other party MLAs would be going to Delhi to lodge a complaint with the Chairperson of UPA Government Sonia Gandhi.
Disclosing this to The Sangai Express, a spokesperson of the RJD State Unit said the failure of the SPF Government led by Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh to give due honour to RJD as a rightful partner of the coalition Government and provide a Ministerial post has hurt the sentiments of the leaders of the State unit who have been exerting pressures on the party's National leaders in this connection for quite a long time.
Taking a serious note of the matter, party's National president and Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav has called the State Unit president and other party MLAs to Delhi to arrange a meeting with Sonia Gandhi.
Accordingly, necessary preparations have been made for going to Delhi on October 16, the spokesperson informed, adding that Lalu Prasad would seek an appointment with Sonia Gandhi for a meeting with the State unit leaders.
RJD has always extended its support and co-operation to the Congress party both at the Centre and the State whether it is at the time of election of the President of India or in sending Rishang Keishing as an MP to the Rajya Sabha, the Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has been remaining indifferent towards RJD, the spokesperson rued.
