Vaccination advocacy campaign held at Maram Khullen

Senapati, July 12 2021:
Maram Students' Union (MKS) organised its second phase of COVID-19 mass vaccination at Maram Khullen, the biggest and oldest village inhabited by Maram community.
During the campaign, MKS president Bosco Kashung appealed to the villagers not to believe in the wrong/fake message being circulated on the social media but get vaccinated against COVID-19 without fail.
ADC Senapati Dr Kasung Albert addressed the gathering and shared the present status of the pandemic and impact caused by COVID-19 .
In his address, DIO Senapati Dr Ngouniba Peter said that use hand sanitizer and maintaining social distancing are temporary means of preventing Covid-19 while vaccination is the only way and permanent solution from Covid-19 .
He urged villagers to support efforts being made by the government to prevent spread of COVID-19 and get vaccinated.
DC Senapati Mahesh Chaudhary also interacted with the villagers and encouraged them to get the COVID-19 vaccine at the earliest.
The DC in his maiden visit to the village gave away 50 kg each of rice to two individuals who got vaccinated on the day after conducting a lucky draw.
The two individuals are Hingba Mark and Lungshila Helena.
Village leaders, headmen, GBs, chairman and secretary, women and youth leaders attended the awareness campaign chaired by Maram Khullen Students' Union (MKSU) president K Kuba.
Meanwhile, MKS has expressed its heartfelt gratitude to social worker Abraham Plantina of Lai-rouching village for his support and DC Senapati for helping in the successful conduct of second phase of the awareness campaign.
