The 7 days livelihood and income generation training programme on piggery ended today at Kwatha village today.
The training programme which started on May 28 was organised by Wildlife Division, Forest Department Manipur and Integrated Rural Development & Educational Organization, Manipur jointly under Integrated Development of Wildlife Habitat 2018-2019, Ministry of Environment Forest & Climate Change, Government of India.
The closing programme at Kwatha Community Hall was attended by Anurang Bajpai (IFS), Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (APCCF) (Wildlife & Environment) Dept of Forest, GoM, Waikhom Romabai, DFO Wildlife, Department of Forest, Govt of Manipur, Kh Ibodhem, Range Forest Officer Wildlife Moreh, Dr Ng Dev Karna, Project Coordination, IRDEO as dignitaries.
26 women who took part in the training programme were given one piglet each at the event and formed Kwatha Mathak Leikai Self Help Group and Kwatha Makha Leikai Self Help Group.
