KCP cadres arrested at Jiribam

Jiribam District Commando has conducted house to house search operations in Gularthol and Uchathol on December 6 acting on a specific information that some cadres of KCP (Peoples' War Group) are reportedly roaming to motivate the youths of Jiribam and were hunting to recruit more cadres in the said outfit, said a statement of Jiribam police and added that one Khumbongrnayum Sanatomba Singh alias Thoi alias Tomba (21) s/o Kh Manitomba Singh ofLeingangpokpi village was arrested on suspicion during the search operation.
On further investigation, the arrested person said that he was a new recruit in the banned KCP (Peoples' War Group) through one Moirangthem Ajay Singh (21) s/o M Tony Singh of Gularthol village and further revealed that, he along with Ajay Singh motivated the youth of Jiribam to carry out poster and publicity campaign on the eve of 2nd Anniversary Observation Day of the outfit in Jiribam, the statement added.
On his revelation, the commando team has abled to arrest his associate cadre Moirangthem Ajay Singh on December 7 at around 6.30 am from Gularthol Bazar, the police added.
A case has been registered at Jiribam Police station against the arrested person and remanded to police custody for further investigation.
