Inspector Premchand's elder brother appeals

The posthumous award to Inspector Lisham Premchand and financial assistance to the family announced by Chief Minister N Biren Singh are appreciated.

Then Officer-in-Charge of Nambol Police Station, Lisham Premchand suffered injuries in line of duty on September 30, 2014.His team was reportedly conducting an anti-drug drive at Nambol Maibam Chingmaang when he was injured.
Since then, he had been undergoing treatment till he died on November 29 last.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, his elder brother, Lisham Sarangajit said his brother (Premchand) and family deserve justice.
"While I appreciate the announcement of the Chief Minister to give posthumous award and assistance, I feel unfortunate that the CM failed to mention anything about delivering justice for my brother," he said.
