'Hill Meet Valley' organised

Progressive Composers Manipur under its 'Mission United Manipur' organised a cultural exchange programme "Hill Meet Valley" with villagers of Toloi village, Ukhrul at Uyok Ching, Kakching Garden at Kakching Turel Wangma.
Earlier a team of Progressive Composers Manipur had visited Toloi village in Ukhrul district as a part of the cultural exchange programme.
Representatives of Toloi village visited Imphal on January 3 and held a cultural exchange programme at Loktak Lake yesterday, said our correspondent.
The cultural exchange programme today at Kakching witnessed special cultural events- 'Pena Eshei' performed by renown Pena artist Ahanjao and Tangkhul folk songs.
Renowned folk singer Lourembam Bedabati also performed during the event.
Dr Nongmaithem, Pramodini, Lecturer, Kakching Higher Secondary School, spoke at the event about the origin of the Kakching and its people.
Kakching Municipal Council Chairperson Naorem Sanjitkumar, Vice Chairperson KMC Ksh Jhaljit, Yambem Satya Singh, councillors, social workers and members of Art Lovers Forum kakching attended the event.
