Grand Heart and Eye camp held

A free Grand Heart & Eye Camp was successfully organized jointly by SKY Hospital & Research Center, RIMS Road, Imphal West and SKY Eye Care Foundation in association with Manipur Heart Foundation and Manipur State Blindness Control Society under NPCB at Mela Ground, Thoubal district today.
Formally inaugurated by Social Welfare Minister AK Mirabai, MLA Okram(O) Landhoni, and Chairman of SKY Group of Hospital Dr..LShyamkishore Singh as chief guest, guest of honour and president respectively, the camp was held from 8 am to 3 pm.
The eye and cataract detection camp was led by Dr.Kaminibabu, Sr.
Consultant Eye Surgeon and 3 other eye surgeons and other related staffs from Manipur State Blindness Control Society and 310 eye patients were examined.
Out of the total patients examined, 31 patients were found to be cataract cases and 10 for Ptyregium.
Consequently, free cataract operation for these patients would be conducted at SKY Hospital, Porompat, JNIMS Gate.
On the other hand, the heart OPD was led by Dr..LShyamkishore Singh, Chief Cardiologist cum Chairman of SKY Group of Hospital.
In all 155 patients were provided free medicines and counseling during the camp.
Out of the total patients, free ECG facilities were also extended to 76 heart patients and free ECHO to 45 heart patients.
