Medical camp conducted

Bishnupur, February 10 2021:
A 'one day free health medical camp' was jointly organised by the National Medico Organisation (NMO) Manipur Chapter and Seva Bharti, Nagamapal Imphal, at Karang island, Loktak lake today.
The camp conducted in collaboration with the volunteers of KIDO, Karang island was attended by M Asnikumar Singh, Chairman MDS and State spokesperson of BJP Manipur Pradesh.
The medical and paramedical team was led by Professor AK Joy Singh, Ortho Department RIMS, who is also the acting president of NMO.
The team also included Professor Dr Sachindev, Cardiologist; Professor Dr Viyas, Neurologist; Professor Dr AD Sharma, Gyestalogist; Professor Dr Naranbabu, Anatomy and physicians of gynaecology, ENT, dermatology.
The camp treated more than 600 patients of Karang island and Thanga.
Medicines were also provided to the patients free of cost.
Addressing the programme, Asnikumar Singh stated that it was an emotional moment for him, seeing genuine smiles on the faces of many elderly people who were in dire need of medical care.
On behalf of the people of Thanga, he expressed his gratitude and appreciation to RIMS authority for providing logistic support for the camp.
He said, "The people of Thanga will never forget their help in such tough times" .
The people of Karang also extended their gratitude to the organisers for the remarkable free health camp.
