TSL, TKS, TMNL urge state govt to retain Ukhrul ZEO

The Tangkhul frontal organisations have lauded the state goverment for granting service promotion of Shri Kpyo, the zonal education officer (ZEO)incharge of Ukhrul, and appealled the authorities for his retention as head of district education office.
In a statement issued on Friday evening, the Tangkhul Shanao Long (TSL), Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) and Tangkhul Mayar Ngala Long (TMNL) stated the present Ukhrul ZEO is a competent and sincere official and has rendered a laudable service in improving the system of education in the district.
''The incumbent ZEO has initiated various steps to check irregularities in schools and many improvements have been seen in the district,'' said TKS president Yangmi Khapai, on behalf of three frontal bodies.
The three organisations urged the state government to retain Kpyo as Ukhrul ZEO in larger interest of the public.
Meanwhile, the TKS asked the authorities of education department to rectify the errors found in the list of intending candidates for TET examination and make necessary adjustment for those applicants who are yet to receive admit cards.
''Many applicants have found their names are missing from the list and are yet to receive admit cards,'' the body stated.
It asked the authorities must correct these anomalies and arrange ways to facilitate all eligible applicants for the exams scheduled on March 24 .
