GLF congratulates Dr Ajailiu Niumai

The UGC has selected Dr Ajailiu Niumai, associate professor, University of Hydrabad, as the Raman Post Doctoral fellowship to USA under Indo-US 21st Century Knowledge Initiative.
The Dean of International Affairs in the University of Iowa had already invited her to visit as Visiting Scholar for 12 months.
Six academicians from the University of Hyderabad figured in the list of 113 academics selected by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for Raman Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the United States.
Selected onesThey include Insaf Ahmed Qureshi, Department of Bio-technology; Irfan Ahmed Ghazi, Department of Plant Sciences; Radheshyam Maurya, Department of Animal Science; Tushar Jana, School of Chemistry; Rosina Nasir and Ajailiu Niumai, School of Social Sciences.
The fellowship is tenable in the USA for the year 2013 under India-US 21st Century Knowledge Initiative.
Dr.Ajai Niumai is the first Liangmai lady to be selected for such a prestigious Fellowship and she is an inspiration and a beacon for the upcoming generation of the Liangmai community.
Dr Ahailiu is the eldest daughter of Dr K Pouchunbou, Tamei.
