3-days residential training on plantation of fruit plants concludes

A 3-day residential training programme on 'Planting Technology of Fruit Plants' under "Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan" was concluded yesterday at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre, Lamphelpat.
Dr Deepak Singh, Senior Scientist & Head, KVK Chandel gave the keynote address on Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan during the programme organised by KVK, Chandel in collaboration with Department of Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Chandel.
The training programme was sponsored by MIDH, Govt of Manipur.
Dr Susheel Kumar, Scientist (Plant Pathology) Dr SS Roy, Scientist (Horticulture), Dr Arati Ningombam, Scientist (Entomology) of ICAR RC for NEH Region, Manipur Centre, Chandramani Singh, SMS (Horticulture), KVK CCpur, L Kanta Singh, SMS (Agril Engg), KVK Imphal West, Dr Sonamani Singh, ACTO (Agri Engg) and Dr Y Prabhabati Devi, ACTO (Home Science), of KVK Chandel, GP Kabui, Retired CTO (Horticulture), KVK IW and K Joy Chandra Singh, Sr Faculty, ICM Lamphel attended the training programme as resource persons.
More than 30 farmers from Chandel Christian, Lambung, New Somtal, Sajiktampak, Lambung, Japhou and Chakpikarong participated in the programme.
The programme was attended by Dr N Prakash, Director, ICAR RC for NEH Region, Umiam, Dr AK Srivastava, Director, CAU, Imphal and Honey Chara, DO, Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Chandel.
