Conclave on 'meet the entrepreneurs from MU' held

Imphal, April 26 2022:
Manipur University Centre for Entrepreneurship and Skills Development organised a one day conclave on 'Meet the Entrepreneurs from MU 1.0' at MIMS Department auditorium on Tuesday.
The event was attended by Babina Group of Companies chairman Dr Th Dhabali Singh as chief guest and MU School of Social Sciences dean Prof S Mangi Singh as president while Manipur University registrar Prof W Chandbabu Singh, MIMS Manipur University director Prof L Jibonkumar Sharma, NEDFi Imphal branch manager Gurumayum Priyobratta Sharma and Centre for Entrepreneurship and Skills Development, Manipur University director Prof Ch Ibohal Meitei were present as guests of honour.
Speaking at the event, Dr Dhabali stressed the need of having entrepreneurs and people possessing skill development quality for improving the economy of the state and the country at large.
Countries like Japan and China are highly developed as they have many skilled people, he cited, while pointing out that the central government has been taking up several policies for improving skill development upon realising its values.
He categorically stated that the educated youth need to become job provider instead of job seeker.
One should not be disheartened upon facing difficulties and troubles.
Moreover, people of the state should give up the notion of seeking only government jobs.
Development could be brought about and economy of the state could be improved if people start generating self-employment and provide jobs to many others, he added.
Apart from encouraging acclaimed entrepreneurs of the state by presenting simple gifts, an interaction session with the students of MIMS and Centre for Entrepreneurship and Skills Development was also held as a part of the programme.
