UNC, Naga women appeal

Imphal, March 04 2015:
United Naga Council (UNC) and Naga Women Union (NWU) Wednesday appealed all parties involved in the Thiwa issue to peacefully resolve the matter, said a report by The Hornbill Express.
In a joint press release, UNC President Gaidon Kamei and NWU President LM Tabitha stated that the situation in Thiwa Village is of "serious concern to the Naga people as it carries the potentials of hindering traditional values of peaceful co-existence within Naga family" .
The two organisations said that Naga Civil Societies always respect the sentiments and interest of all communities and at the same time, upholds the Christian principle of forgiveness and promotes the social fabric of good "neighborhood and brotherhood of all mankind" .
Any dispute within or outside the village or family are/be solved through traditional system of delivering justice,
said UNC.
Naga National crucial juncture, Tribes/Church Leaders/Village Elders/Women Organizations/Youths have been requested to avoid any form of violence and maintain peace.
