Imphal, March 04 2015:
Headmaster of Khunjao Palli Junior High Madrassa, Md Abdul Kadir has alleged that the recent furore made against the appointment of a teacher of the Madrassa was planned by an unsuccessful candidate.
He further said that in a meeting held on July 6 last year, the school management committee shortlisted Md Sallauddin and Md Abdul Khalique for the interview of recruitment of teachers.
However, the interview board rejected the candidature of Md Sallauddin and appointed Md Abdul Khalique as a teacher as the former's qualification was ineligible for the post.
The required minimum qualification of a teacher in a Madrassa is Class XII, he added.
Peeved with the rejection of his candidature, Md Sallauddin formed a bogus school management committee and staged demonstration at the gate of the Madrassa recently.
The Headmaster further said that Md Sallauddin took the advantage of his absence as he was out of station when he staged the demonstration.
Md Abdul Kadir clarified that he had nothing to do with the appointment of Md Abdul Khalique as a teacher although the latter is his son.
He further said that all the recruitment process was carried out by the school management committee.
Rejecting the allegation of not providing midday meal to the students of the Madrassa, Md Abdul Kadir said that hygienic meal is provided to the students everyday.
