Imphal, June 14 2017:
All tankers have been barred from travelling along Imphal-Mao road at Tadubi from today evening against the failure of the concerned association and owner of the oil tanker involved in an accident with a Tata Sumo at Koirengei on May 24, to approach the JAC formed in connection with the accident.
According to our Senapati correspondent, the JAC had set a 48 hours deadline to the concerned association and the owner of the oil tanker to approach and have a dialogue regarding the accident.
The bandh is aimed at preventing oil tankers from travelling along the road and most of the oil tankers are stranded near Tadubi police station as a result of the bandh.
It may be recalled that 12 individuals were injured in the accident.
