Water levels recede

Imphal, June 14 2017:
Even as many rivers ofManipur valley are either overflowing or have their banks breached at different points thereby flooding many places, water levels of; Imphal River and Nambul River have started receding alit-tle, according to information received from IFCD's Flood Control Room.
Yet, Lilong and Thoubal rivers have been still flowing above danger level.
As of now, Iril River is flowing below flood level.
Rainfall rates recorded since last night till this morning were 29 mm at Kangpokpi, 15 mm at Saikul, 1 mm at Litan, 2 mm at Raj Bhavan and 2.5 mm at Lamphelpat.
