4-day long Traditional Painter's Camp concludes

The 4-day long Traditional Painter's camp on gender equality jointly organised by Department of Arts and Culture, Government of Manipur and North East Zone Cultural Centre, Dimapur concluded at the Andro Living Museum of the Cultural Complex at Andro today.
Speaking at the valedictory function, Th Tombi, National Lalit Kala Academy Awardee, said that the camp was organised with the motive of bringing man and woman on equal footings.
Andro has been rightly chosen for organizing the camp as it all the traditional background required by painters.
He further said that, in order to safeguard and promote the traditional paintings of our society, we need a Traditional studio in the state or else it might get lost and withered just as the paintings painted by famous painters of our society have withered.
Presided over by Mutua Bahadur, Director Mutua Museum, the function was also attended K Sobita, Director, Department of Art and Culture as Guest of Honour.
