Lui-Ngai-ni greetings

Governor Gurbachan Jagat and Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh have extended their warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Manipur especially the Naga brethens on the auspicious occasion of LuiNgai-Ni festival.
In a statement, the Governor mentioned that the common objective of all religious and social systems is to ensure peace and achieve progress in the society.
He said that Lui-Ngai-Ni, in which the blessings of the almighty God are sought for a bountiful and bumper harvest for the well being of mankind, is the common festival of the Naga brethens.
Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh, in his message, stated that Lui-Ngai-Ni is the seed sowing and one of the main festivals of the Nagas.
The Chief Minister further wished that the festival would bring love, peace and unity, happiness and prosperity to all sections of the people of the State.
MPCC president Gaikhangam has also extended his greetings to the people on the occassion.
In a message to the people, Gaikhangam prayed that peace, communal harmony and mutual understanding dawn.
He also prayed for the prosperity of all.
