Consultation on PLHIV ends

A two day consultation programme for People Living with HIV which started from June 9 came to an end today at the Conference Hall of Hotel Nirmala located at MG Avenue, Imphal.
The consultation programme was organized by the World Vision India in association with MNP+ to bring up the issues and problems faced by the PLHIV of Manipur.
Programme Manager of World Vision, Loli in connection with the programme, stated that the main purpose of organising such consultative programme is to analyse the plan and projects of the Government on what they are doing for PLHIVs.
He added that the consultation will also focus on the gaps and shortcomings of the Government's projects and try to find out a solution and make recommendations.
Meanwhile the consultation programme is set to continue for PLHIV children who are Orphan and Vulnerable Children (OVC) from June 11 to 12.In the said consultation programme the rights of these children in education and health will be discussed.
After the consultation, recommendations made will be submitted to the Social Welfare, Health, Education and other departments of the Government, added Loli.
