Imphal, June 10 2015 :
Dimissing the claims of the army, the proscribed RPF today asserted that it was nothing but cheap and false propaganda.
Detailing the turn of events at Ukhrul district along the Myanmar border, the outfit in a statement said that some army personnel of India sneaked up to the OP Mobile Camp of the PLA on June 9 in the morning.
The said camp is located along the Myanmar border in Ukhrul district, added the statement.
The PLA cadres immediately opened fire and repulsed the army personnel who had sneaked in.
Taken by surprise the army personnel beat a hasty retreat, claimed the outfit and added that later a patrol party of the PLA found traces of blood.
This shows that either the army personnel had suffered bullet injuries or had injured themselves while beating a hasty retreat, added RPF.
No PLA cadres were hurt in the skirmish, it added.
After the June 4 ambush on a team of 6 Dogra Regiment personnel, the Indian army targeted the PLA mobile camp, said the outfit and added that true to their characteristic, the army launched a propaganda blitzkrieg on the radio, TV and newspapers and fed wrong information to the people.
This was nothing but cheap and false propaganda, said the outfit.
Given the severe setback it has suffered, the Indian army cannot speak the truth and is instead relying on false propaganda, added the outfit and urged the people of Manipur not to believe such misleading news.
