SANSA highlights condition of Govt schools

Sangolmang Naga Students' Association (SANSA), Manipur has highlighted the pitiable condition of government educational institutes in Sagolmang area, Imphal East.
The pitiable reality of the Department of Education particularly in Sagolmang area was discovered during a surprise visit to all the educational institutes under the campaign of 'revive school management' recently.
In spite of various difficulties confronted due to irregular payment of fees, private schools were found being managed well but in Government schools were found lagging private schools in all respects, Z Reithingam, President of SANSA, disclosed in a statement.
Reithingam also pointed out that frequent transfer of teachers; improper school buildings; inadequate teaching staffs; lack of teaching aid materials; improper use of funds allocated for school maintenance; untimely replacement of retired teachers and lack of science teachers are some of the major factors responsible for pitiable condition in government schools.
SANSA has demanded the concerned authorities of State Education Department for taking up necessary measures to improve the condition of Government schools in Sagolmang area.
