'Operation Mission' conducted in Ukhrul District Hospital

In a yeoman service to the people of Ukhrul, the third phase of ''Operation Mission'' has been successfully conducted on Saturday at the district hospital with support of specialists from Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences.
In the third phase of ''Operation Mission'' held at Ukhrul district hospital today, JNIMS prof..NJiten and Prof.Thoiba Henba along with 14 support staff conducted 14 surgeries successfully as part of its campaign to reach out to people in need and from remote areas.
The initiative is all thanks to district hospital CMO Ng.
Raikhan, a person behind the campaign to reach out the people and utilise the services at the hospital.
The operation was conducted at a nominal charge and carried out for people in serious need of healthcare.
An official source said that the first and second phase Mission Operation was successfully organised by conducting 24 and 14 surgeries respectively.
In today's exercise, one major hysterectomy operation was conducted while another major Hernia surgery for a male patient.
A team of Ukhrul-based mediapersons were invited to cover a major hernia surgery done on Thotshang Shaiza, who is a journalist and availed the Mission Operation service on Saturday.
