The Drug Policy Alliance (DPA) has invited Hueiyen Lanpao reporter Ningombam Pramod to attend the International Drug Policy Reform Conference which is to be held in Los Angeles, California (US) from November 2 to 5.Ningombam Pramod will be leaving Imphal on October 30 for Los Angeles to attend the conference.
The conference is being hosted by the Drug Policy Alliance in association with the Harm Reduction Coalition (HRC), the International Drug Policy Consortium (IDPC), Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP), the Marijuana Policy Project (MPP), the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML), Open Society Foundations (OSF) and Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP).
The conference is held once every two years.
The International Drug Policy Reform conference, to be held this year from November 2 to 5 in Los Angeles, California, is the leading gathering of people who believe the war on drugs is doing more harm than good.
Leading experts - on drug abuse, treatment, epidemiology and disease prevention, law and law enforcement, and advocacy skills, outstanding scholars, journalists and elected officials will present their views.
Ningombam Pramod presently with Hueiyen Lanpao , has been reporting regularly on HIV/AIDS and other drug related issues since the past five years.
