IT Special Economic zone to be established

To give a boost in the Information Technology sector of the state and to promote it among the general public, the state government is all set to establish an IT Special Economic Zone in the state very soon.
According to official sources from the State IT department, it has been revealed that an IT Special Economic Zone is to be established very soon at Mantripukhri.
It is to be established next to the recently foundation stone laid area of IT Park, adjacent to the STPI, Mantripukhri.
An area of 27 acres has been allotted by the government for the purpose, all construction works will be carried out very soon.
Considering the importance of IT, the government has opened a separate IT department in the state.
National e-governance projects are being implemented at the IT department existing at present, where there are state data centre, statewide area network, state portal, state delivery gateway and e-forms are established under it.
The source further said that under the National e-governance plan 399 common service centres are set up, providing at least one common service centre for every six village.
The common service centres apart from providing business to citizen services, will also provide government to citizen services to the general public.
The pensioners of the state have also been provided with SMS services facilities through IT.
Not only this, the government is also planning to open Business and Knowledge Process Outsourcing and Call Centres in the state and further develop it, the source said.
