Imphal, June 28 2009:
The central Security Council, which is the high command of KCP-MC, has decided not to permit any action to intimidate people for demands and extortion of money from June 28 onwards.
Announcing this, Lanheiba Meitei, Secretary Military Affairs, Military Council (KCP), today stated in a press release that central security council comprising Lanheiba Meitei, Chief of Military Council and Secretary Military Affairs, Lanchenba Meitei, Chief of Central Finance and Lamjingba Khuman, Chief of Central Logistic and Public Networking Council, took the decision to stop all kinds of "personal demand" from June 28 onwards.
Lanheiba Meitei stated that the trend of kidnapping people for ransom must be stopped immediately.
If this trend continues unabated, the liberation movement will slowly die down and the trust that Kangleichas had placed in the revolutionary organisations will vanish.
The movement will not be able to move forward, he stated.
He also stated that the KCP-MC will try at its best level not to become international outlaw and in order to receive approval of the international community, the party will abide by the protocols of Geneva Conventions and international laws.
The KCP-MC denied detaining any of the North Valley Stone Crusher Owners' Association and taking money from them.
The party is not connected with the abduction of two drivers Konsam Somen and Huidrom Bishwarjit.
The party has no link whatsoever with these incidents.
Such acts might have been carried out by a gang in the name of the party, he clarified.
He appealed to the public not to take any armed person for a revolutionary.
