The All Manipur Muslim (Meetei Pangal) Welfare Association (AMPWA) today felicitated students of the community with gifts at the fourth state level function held at Kangla hall, Imphal in which state rural development and panchayati raj and MOBC minister, Md Allauddin attended as chief guest.
Minister, Md Allauddin speaking on the occasion lauded the effort of the AMPWA expressing that the felicitation of the topper students will encourage younger students and help them is working hard in study.
Reiterating that in the last four to five year back the students of the community were very much back in the field of education, he said the same is very much improved as many topper students come out in the fore in the last few year.
He also said that when all communities are developed equally, the country will advance forward.
When only one community developed, the state or country cannot be a developed one.
He also said that many schemes are implementing in the state for the welfare and upliftment of the weaker and backward section of the society.
The function graced by the minister as chief guest was presided by president of the AMPWA, MA Janab Khan.
MLA, Prithiviraj, IAS, AH Choudury, ex-MLA Dr Md Manirrudin Sheikh, IAS MA Sater, IAS, AR Khan and member of the state women commission Lalchan Begum attended as guest of honours.
At the function toppers in this year HSLC, HSSLC and toppers in the competitive exams for studying MBBS, IIT-GEE and medalists in the university exams were felicitated.
Muslims students who secured 75 percent and above in this years exams were also honoured with gifts.
In the another function held at Langmeidong Dramatic Union hall, Yumnam Tomba, Yumnam ongbi Sanajaobi, Yumnam ongbi Tomcha and Yumnam Mangol meritorious awards conferred to the students who scored highest marks in the HSLC exam for the Leimeidong centre were also distributed today.
The awards went to Leitanthem Debita and Athokpam Robindro of Keinahal Memorial English School and Chanam Dinesh of ANK English School.
Special award were also conferred to Leitanthem Debita who scored highest marks of the centre in English and to Y Debadutta who scored highest marks in mathematic subject.
Meanwhile, the North Eastern Youth Literacy and Clutural Association also felicitated students of Lamlai Kendra who passed in the first division in this year HSLC and HSSLC exam at a function held at Lamlai Community hall at Lamlai Bazar.
In the merit award distribution function MLA Dr Kh Ratankumar graced as chief guest which was presided by president of the organizing student body LC Bobisana.
Social worker L Ingocha attended as guest of honour of the function.
