Moreh sees one more Covid-19 case

Moreh, May 18 2021:
With one more case of Covid-19 reported on Tuesday from Moreh Ward No 5 Nepali Basti, the border town has now two confirmed infected persons with both detected from the same area.
Briefing media in this regard, Tengnoupal district nodal officer Dr Ahongshan-gam Cecil said that one Nepali woman (54) of Moreh Ward No.5 Nepali Basti went to the Moreh Sub-District Hospital for treatment on Tuesday.
She underwent Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and was found to be positive for Covid-19.She is the second positive case detected in Moreh, with the first detected on Monday being a pharmacist whose outlet is located barely 10 metres away from the residence of the second patient, said the nodal officer.
Though Tengnoupal district has seen numerous cases, Moreh two had been free from infectious disease before the two cases cropped up within two days.
Both the two patients are now in home isolation and the district magistrate Tengnoupal has declared their respective residences as containment zones.
On the other hand, Moreh police station OC Kh Dilip Kumar on Tuesday visited the containment zones and took up additional measures including shutting down shops located within 15 metres of the containment zones and enforcing mandatory wearing of face masks among the local residents.
