NCC conducts annual camp

Imphal, January 30 2020:
A combined annual training camp, conducted by 14 (M) Bn NCC, Imphal culminated today.
This camp was attended by 308 NCC cadets of 8 Jawahar Navodya Vidyalayas from all over the State, said PIB (DW) .
During the camp, NCC cadets were given training on various military subjects like PT, Drills, Map Reading, Field Craft, Firing and navigation.
The cadets were also given exposure to confidence building activities like sports, competitions along with solo and group activities.
During the ten days camp, various lectures and demonstrations were organized by 14 Manipur Bn NCC for the cadets with the help of Fire Fighting, Traffic Control, Health Departments and State Disaster Management of Manipur.
Besides this SP, Imphal (West) and CMO, Imphal (West) and Imphal (East) provided security and medical cover to the cadets.
15 Assam Rifle, Mantripukhri assisted in conduct of Small Arms firing of cadets.
357 Field Hospital, Leimakhong also provided medical cover during the camp.
The camp culminated with a colourful cultural programme performed by the cadets.
Brig RS Sethi, tip :dr NCC Imphal attended the closing ceremony as chief guest.
The camp was conducted in NCC Group HQ Complex and the chief guest awarded the cadets, who excelled in various competitions and co-curricular activities during the event.
Brig RS Sethi commended the effort of the NCC cadets in putting up a wonderful cultural programme.
He also said that NCC teaches us to face "challenges in life and eventually become winner in every field by self discipline.
