Students from hill areas of the state studying in private schools in valley areas have started leaving their respective schools apparently due to the prolong suspension of class.
Revealing that of tribal students transferred from some of the private schools, Rameshwor, coordinator of Pioneer Academy, Chingmeirong said some of the tribal students have obtained transfer certificates from the school for seeking admission to the schools in their respective villages.
Parents and guardians have taken away their wards residing in the hostel and rented houses for sending to the schools located in their villages in the hill area for further study considering the prevailing situation.
Regarding the matter, complaints were floated to the office of the All Manipur Recognized Private Schools� Welfare Association, officer bearers of the private schools also stated.
The complaints coming up from the authorities of the private schools is amidst the complaints of the teachers for not getting their salaries and school van drivers for not getting their service charge to be collected from the parents.
To discuss on the matters arising out of the prolong class boycott stir and to find a way to solve the complaint, the association has also called a meeting on October 30 at MDU hall.
The meeting will also discuss on the unable to cover syllabus of the year even though the final examinations are approaching.
Private schools have also started holding meeting at school level with the teachers and school authorizes on the prevailing situation.
Schools like St Xavier English School, Khurai Ahongei and SCM Boarding English School, Singjamei had held the meetings yesterday, according to the source.
The meeting at the St Xavier English School has decided to appeal both the agitating students� bodies and government to bring an end to the deadlock.
It also decided to press government to compensate the teachers who are not getting their salary due to the closure of schools.
