Imphal, October 21 2012:
Expressing unhappiness over the alleged failure of the State Government and the Education Minister to give a sympathetic response to the demands raised by Coordination Committee of College Students' Union (CCCS), Democratic Students Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has warned that such indifferent attitude may provoke the anger of student community.
Speaking to media person at its Keishampat Head Office, President of DESAM Wangmayum Islauddin, pointed out that since October 17, CCCS has launched a relay hunger strike demanding development in higher education facilities in the state.
However, the State Government and the Education Minister have not given any sympathetic response to the demands.
DESAM has made it clear that the demands of the agitating students should be met before 26 of this month.
