Imphal, June 20 2010:
Advisor of the Planning Commission of India Brahmo Chaudhury today made a spot inspection to assess progress of the ongoing work for removal of floating biomass from the Loktak Lake being executed by the Loktak Development Authority with funding from the Planning Commission.
Shortly after arrival here, the Advisor along with LDA officials proceeded to the largest fresh water lake of the region to take personal note of the biomass clearance work, said an LDA source.
Apart from attending a meeting of LDA steering Committee tomorrow to be presided by the Chief Secretary DS Poonia, Brahmo Chaudhury is scheduled to inspection construction activities at Capital
Project complex.
