A free medical camp was organised by 23 Assam Rifles under Hqs IG AR (S) at Khongbal Tangkhul village in Senapati district today.
The medical camp was opened by 23 AR Commandant CD Singh.
Around 250 people belonging to Khongbal Tangkhul and surrounding villagers were examined at the medical during which medicines were also distributed free of cost to the patients.
Speaking at the occasion, Commandant CD Singh said that Assam Rifles have been endeavouring to bring peace in the State.
He also sought people's co-operation to the efforts of AR.
The CO said that change and development can be realised only when there is peace.
It is reported that 23 AR would be organising another medical camp at Sagolmang in Imphal East district tomorrow.
On the other hand, 43 Assam Rifles organised a similar medical camp at Changjal village for the people of Samtal Salient today.
More than 104 patients were diagnosed and provided medicines at the medical camp.
