Brig S K Bhanot, Cdr 26 Sect AR visited the Sajik Valley alongwith Officiating Commandant 8 Assam Rifles interacted with the chief and locals of Sajik.
Issues related to development in the Sajik Valley were discussed to a great extent.
Cdr 26 Sect AR inaugurated a school bus started by 8 Assam Rifles for the school going children of Sajik Valley.
Brig S K Bhanot spoke to the locals and emphasized the importance of education to the youth of Manipur and stressed upon the interdependency of Assam Rifles and the civilian populace.
The 23 Assam Rifles 10 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) organized also two days Free Medical camp at Khongbal Tkl village of Senapati district on
20 Jun 2010 .
The camp was conducted by a team of medical officers including lady doctor and paramedical staff of the Unit.
Approximate 250 patients from Khongbal Tkl and near by villages were diagnosed and provided free medicines on first day of the camp.
Later in the interaction with populace from 10 villages, the doctors educated them on the health, hygiene and sanitation.
In another occasion, 43 Assam Rifles organised a medical camp at Changjal village for the people of Samtal Salient on 20 Jun 10.More than 104 patients were diagnosed and provided free medicines.
