CCpur, November 05 2015:
The Young Paite Association (YPA) has called a total shut down within Churachandpur district on Friday, demanding that the Government book those responsible for killing Thangliansiam who was found hanging from a tree but with multiple injury marks in the first week of October.
A statement of the YPA said there has been no tangible breakthrough in the case, except for the arrest of one suspect.
This is despite the expiry of the October 28 deadline set earlier compelling them to take their demand to the streets.
It is learnt that the association has planned a public rally during the total shutdown to pressurise the district authority to act but the details of such arrangement are still not known.
It has appealed to the denizens of the district, like-minded philanthropic organisations, tribe/Church leaders, student organisations, school authorities, shop owners, transporters and office-goers extend their full co-operation.
