Transporters to support JDDC

All Manipur Road Transport Driver and Motor Workers' Union (AMRTD&MWU) has vowed to support any activity taken up by the Jiribam District Demand Committee (JDDC) .
A statement signed by General Secretary of AMRTD&MWU M Anil Meetei said that they will support JDCC and their activities.
He also appealed the JDDC to make arrangements for the drivers and handyman, who are still stranded with loaded trucks along the highways, so that they can reach Imphal by November 10 and celebrate the Ningol Chakouba festival with their family members.
The union further said that it had also appealed the UNC to suspend their 10-day economic blockade to let the drivers and handyman celebrate the festival.
The transporters appealed the State Government to talk with the authorities and demand committees and make arrangements for the drivers and handymen, who are stranded outside Manipur.
All the drivers in Manipur will be forced to leave their jobs if the Government continued to remain silent, warned the transporters.
