Sanitary Workers Day held

In appreciation of the works carried out by the Sanitary workers of the Kakching Municipal Council in keeping the district clean, the Kakching Municipal Council organised the 4th Sanitary Workers Day 2020 on December 31 at its office in Kakching district.
Kakching Municipal Council Chairperson Naorem Sanjitkumar, Vice Chairperson Kshetrimayum Jhalajit, Councillors and staff of Kakching Municipal Council attended the programme.
As a part of the programme, Kakching Municipal Council's oldest sanitary worker Naorem Babuchand was feted.
Addressing the programme, Kakching Munici- pal Council Chairperson Naorem Sanjitkumar stated that to recognize and appreciate the efforts of the sanitary workers in keeping the district clean, the Sanitary Workers Day has been organised by the Council every year since 2017 after he became the Chairperson of the Kakching Municipal Council.
Naorem Sanjit- kumar further stated that the minimum wages decided by the Labour Department, Government of Manipur for all the staff of the Kakching Municipal Council will be given at the earliest.
